The impact of AI transformation on Enterprise Risk Management.

AI?assisted development has quietly flipped the risk equation. Developers ship more code than ever, AI systems happily reuse insecure patterns, and dashboards stay green even as high?impact vulnerabilities pile up in the background. Veracodes 2026 State of Software Security (SoSS) data show that most enterprises now carry persistent security debt, with critical and high?risk flaws accumulating faster than teams can realistically fix. This session introduces risk velocitythe rate at which an organization creates and eliminates application riskas a governing metric for enterprise security in the AI era. Building on the A.B.C.D. enterprise risk framework and new Veracode SoSS 2026 findings, we will show how AI?generated and AI?accelerated code changes the shape of risk across first? and third?party applications, cloud services, and data?rich workflows.
