MemGuard: AI-Powered Code Analysis for Memory Safety with Time-Travel Debugging

Memory corruption accounts for over 70% of critical vulnerabilities in C/C++ codebases, yet modern detection tools operate in silos and fail on custom memory allocators. MemGuard bridges this gap by unifying 15 detection engines into a single AI-powered, neuro-symbolic platform. In this session, we present MemGuard, an open-source framework featuring MemHint, a 3-stage pipeline combining tree-sitter parsing, local LLM classification (Ollama), and Z3 theorem proving to formally discover custom allocation wrappers and feed them directly into static analysis tools like Facebook Infer. We demonstrate MemGuards 4-pass AI analysis pipeline (triage, root cause, fix generation, step decomposition) backed by triple validation (pattern matching, CWE auto-correction, and Z3 mathematical verification). Additionally, we showcase time-travel debugging via Mozilla rr integrated with custom AI GDB commands (mg-ai, mg-why), interprocedural taint flow tracking to verify remote reachability, and automated binary hardening audits evaluating exploitability across missing protections.
