Marasi: An Open Source Application Security Testing Proxy

The session will introduce Marasi (مراسي), an application security testing proxy built in Go. It will start with an overview of the tool, along with the principles that drove the application design and development. The tool is designed to be fully open source in both the code and also the file formats used as project files. Additionally, extensibility was a big focus, allowing the user to extend the proxy using Lua. Following this overview, a live demonstration will walk the attendees through the application features. Each feature of the application will have a dedicated scenario to demonstrate its capabilities. At a high level these areas will be the proxy history, scope management, interception, request iteration, extensions and report generation. Other design decisions such as the chrome auto configuration, profile management and request routing will be demonstrated.
