Overview

AI is transforming the enterprise, but it also introduces complex security, privacy, and governance risks that many organizations underestimate but which can create major legal, financial, and reputational damages. This executive-level two-day course cuts through the hype and confusion surrounding AI and its cyber security risks.

The course is aimed at C-level leaders, board members, business leaders, and senior executives, and is split into three parts:

The first part provides an overview of AI and agentic AI and their risks and builds the strategic understanding leaders need to secure AI adoption that is already accelerating across the region under national transformation agendas. It covers how AI systems can be manipulated, how to challenge overconfident vendors, and how to adopt AI safely amid rapid, state-led digitalization - addressing risks arising inside the organization and across the software supply chain and vendor ecosystem.

The second part examines threats from outside the organization and how such threats can be prevented and mitigated. It covers how AI - and increasingly autonomous AI agents – 1) widens the organization’s attack surfaces, 2) is being weaponized in cyberattacks and cybercrimes, and 3) can be used defensively to strengthen cybersecurity.

The third part covers AI governance, the global regulatory and compliance landscape with an emphasis on the GCC, and organizational policy essentials.

Through current, real-world case studies and executive-friendly activities, participants explore general risks as well as specific security risks. Leaders are equipped with practical frameworks for AI risk classification and are empowered to address and mitigate the risks. By the end of the course, executives can evaluate AI initiatives, set expectations for internal teams and vendors, and build a mature oversight program that protects the organization while enabling innovation.
