Stephane Lenco is passionate about aerospace and cybersecurity. He holds an engineering degree from ENAC (National School for Civil Aviation) in Toulouse (France) with majors in Air Traffic Management and Computer Science.
After working on project management in the field of satellite control in the United States, he joins the IT department of the Space branch of EADS then the Group Headquarters, where he successively manages international IT integration projects and the IT infrastructure of the new unit. In 2007, he steers his career towards Cybersecurity.
Until 2018, as “Chief Information Security Officer” of Airbus, which scope included IT, OT and otherwise, he created the Airbus CERT. He also acted as the secretary to GITSIS, a CISO association in France, and as a convinced European is was a member of the ENISA “Permanent Stakeholder Group” for the 2017-2020 tenure. He is Thales Group’s CISO since 2019, and has been particularly active lately on the topic of cybersecurity maturity in the supply chain, going hand in hand with making cybersecurity culture change and get closer to business objectives at large.
His professional interests focus on Cybersecurity culture and awareness and cybersecurity maturity. In addition, he was recently honored with the Global CISO 100 by HotTopics.ht in recognition of his contributions to Cyber.
