Dr. Diane M. Janosek

Diane M. Janosek, PhD, JD, CISSP, LPEC, is an award-winning cybersecurity leader, board member, author, and sought-after speaker. She focuses on the intersection of law, policy, and technology. Areas of expertise include space security, leadership, privacy, data policy, and cybersecurity. She served as member of the United States Defense Intelligence Senior Executive Service.

Dr. Janosek served in leadership roles at the National Security Agency, to include Commandant National Cryptologic University, Deputy Director Compliance, Chief Information Security Officer and in other legal, policy and executive management positions, to include Chief Legal Officer, Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, and Legal Counsel at both the White House and the Pentagon. In addition to having a Juris Doctorate, she has a PhD in Cybersecurity, and is admitted to the United States Supreme Court and is certified in information and network security (CISSP) and ethics and compliance (LPEC). She was an Adjunct at National Intelligence University and was a member of White House’s Federal Committee on STEM Education. She is Executive Director of Capitol Tech Center for Women in Cyber and serves on the Board of Advisors for Military Cyber Professionals Association.

Dr. Janosek can be seen in the Women Know Cyber documentary, as well as on television and radio. She a multiple international award recipient- 2022 Role Model of the Year, 2021 Cybersecurity Woman Leader the Year, 2021 Woman to Watch, 2020 Cyber Impact, 2020 Top 100 Women in Cybersecurity, CybHER 2020 Warrior, 2019 WiCyS Affiliate Leadership, and 2019 Cyber Warrior Woman of the Year. She is passionate about giving back, advocating for women in cybersecurity, and serving the Nation.
