Dan serves as Chief Security Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Security with Verizon Communications where he oversees Security functions covering full-spectrum security concerns across the global corporate footprint. Dan has been with Verizon and its legacy companies since 1997, and he oversees and coordinates global security efforts throughout Verizon and its various business units.
Focus of responsibility includes enterprise-wide security strategy and programs, physical security, asset protection, Insider Threat, Law Enforcement matters and Response Programs, Intelligence and Specialty Programs, Active Threat avoidance, Retail and Travel Security, and Security Operations Centers.
Dan has served in roles in the International Consumer and Business Teams, as well as serving as the Director of International Security, the Executive Director, and eventually as the Vice President and Deputy Chief Security Officer of Verizon from 2015 thru 2020, when he then became Verizon’s Chief Security Officer.
The Corporate Security Organization focuses on issues ranging from data loss protection, law enforcement support and coordination, supply chain security, workplace safety and anti-violence programs, international security, specialty programs, and an overall "all-hazards" program of Security coverage across the global footprint.
