Allan Alford

Allan Alford began his cybersecurity journey as a hacker kid back in the eighties when such things were still legal. Over the years he worked as a programmer, systems administrator and database administrator, eventually going on to manage various IT organizations. He pivoted to an engineering career, diving deeply into product security for a telecommunications company. Flash forward to today and he has been a CISO 5 times in 4 industries and held a variety of other cybersecurity leadership roles as well. Allan’s product security background makes him a highly business oriented CISO. After five stints as a CISO, Allan “got off the merry-go-round” and launched a consulting practice. Today he is CEO of Alford and Adams Consulting and offers strategic cybersecurity guidance to companies of all industries and sizes.
