It is often said that technology doesn’t evolve slowly, but follows step-changes or disruptions. Whether the disruption is positive or negative depends on perspective, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a typical example of this, with its many fans and haters on both sides. With the advent of ChatGPT, and its underlying OpenAI technology, there has been a buzz of interest as well as new emerging applications. These have broad potential, with use-cases ranging from office assistants to creative artists. At BAE Systems, we have looked to leverage OpenAI within our Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) services, both to help our analysts in generating content, as well as adding new functionality to our customer portal.
