Cyber Leadership – What Does Great Leadership Look Like In Cybersecurity?

Cyber security is not a mature field like some other areas of business such as finance.  Digital and cyber security fluency is not a given across organisations and in the board room, skills shortages are an issue, and we don’t have a cyber-equivalent of a financial balance sheet.  This means that some aspects of leadership are even more important in cyber security than in other fields.  Dr Haigh will cover the importance of having a clear vision and strategy,  a strong governance model and reporting to support data driven decision making.  She will talk about how your communication style can influence your effectiveness as a leader and how to go about building a really effective, engaged team.  Cyber security is often viewed as a very technical field,  but people are at the heart of it,  so the right leadership, culture, behaviours and communication are absolutely essential to deliver an effective capability.
