Cyber Security Internship Program

Community development is an essential consideration while creating and planning Black Hat events. As part of this commitment to the community, Black Hat Middle East and Africa and its key partners in KSA offer an opportunity to young and qualified Saudi youths to be part of our Cybersecurity Internship Program. We are aligned with the Kingdom’s goal to develop and promote the generation of cyber security professionals.

We intend to provide you with a wide range of opportunities to develop your skills and learn about various aspects of cybersecurity.
During this program, in addition to gaining insight into information security and risk management, the assigned person will also gain real-world knowledge of how a large organisation deals with its cybersecurity needs in reality.  Being selected for a well-established information security program will provide you the opportunity to learn and utilise professional-grade security tools, techniques, and methods. No previous experience is required for ambitious and hardworking candidates.

the organisation:

The Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP) is a national institution that aims to empower the local workforce and enhance their capabilities in the fields of cybersecurity, software development, drones, and advanced technologies based on the best international practices. Their mission is to produce a programmer among every 100 Saudis by 2030.

the programme:

The successful candidates will:

  • Spend three months immersed in a tailored program in the Cybersecurity department of SAFCSP
  • Receive mentorship by highly experienced certified information security professionals
  • Be a valuable contributor to security work that matters 
  • Assist in identifying operational requirements and proposing solutions to ongoing cybersecurity architecture/organisational issues
  • Have the opportunity to convert this internship into a full-time role through their hard work and dedication 
  • Have immense hands-on training on technological platforms to upscale their cyber security skills 

Application criteria:

  • Undergraduate bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/  Information Security / Computer Science / Computer Engineering with concentration in Cybersecurity.
  • Understanding and applicable knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • High level of fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, problem solving, research and analysis, and great computer skills.
  • High GPA performance
  • Self-starters with an innovative mindset and enthusiastic behaviour
